Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Questly is a gaming app and community operated by Odysseus Studios Ltd, a company registered in the UK. These standards apply to the Questly apps on Google Play and the App Store, our websites, and every part of the Questly service. They apply alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

Questly has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The following are prohibited everywhere on Questly, including profiles, usernames, avatars, banners, reviews, comments, posts, discussions, guides and lists:

  • Any content that sexually abuses, exploits or endangers children, including CSAM in any form, whether real, drawn, animated or AI-generated.
  • Sexualising minors, including sexual comments about a child or content that shows a minor in a sexual way.
  • Grooming: contacting or building trust with a minor for a sexual purpose.
  • Sextortion: threatening or pressuring anyone into sharing sexual images, money or anything else.
  • Trafficking, or advertising or soliciting children for sexual purposes.
  • Sharing, linking to, asking for or promoting any of the above.

2. Who can use Questly

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where that is the minimum age for digital consent) to use Questly. We ask for a date of birth when an account is created, and an account cannot be created below the minimum age.

3. How to report

  • In the app: tap the ... menu on a profile and choose Report, or use the Report option on any review, comment, post, discussion or list. Reports go straight to the Questly team.
  • By email: support@questly.games with "Child safety" in the subject line.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police straight away (999 in the UK, 911 in the US, or your local emergency number). You can also report directly to:

4. What we do

When we become aware of CSAE or CSAM on Questly, we:

  • Remove the content and permanently ban the accounts responsible.
  • Preserve the relevant information as the law requires, so it can be passed to the authorities.
  • Report it to the relevant authorities, including the National Crime Agency in the UK and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the US.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
  • Treat child safety reports as our highest priority, ahead of every other kind of report.

5. How we prevent it

  • Automated filtering of text posted to Questly, and human review of every report.
  • Adult-only and mature-rated games are hidden from users under 18.
  • Private accounts, where only approved followers can see your activity.
  • Blocking, which hides a person's content from you and yours from them, and muting.
  • Our Terms of Service ban sexually explicit content, and accounts that break them are removed.

6. Compliance

We comply with applicable child safety laws and regulations, and we review these standards as Questly grows and as those laws change.

7. Child safety contact

Questly has a designated child safety contact who can answer questions about how we prevent CSAM and comply with these standards. Contact them at support@questly.games.
