Frequently asked questions

Where can I download Questly?

Questly is available now on Google Play and the App Store.

Is Questly free?

Yes! Questly is free to download and use. Optional Questly Pro helps support us. There are no ads.

What is Questly Pro and what does it include?

Pro is an optional upgrade that supports independent development and unlocks deeper tools. It includes extended reviews, unlimited lists, Pro Picks, a profile checkmark and access to custom banners. We will continue to develop Pro but the core discovery, community and tracking are free for everyone, always.

What is the swipe deck and how does it work?

The swipe deck is Questly's discovery feature. Open the Swipe tab and you'll see a focused stack of game picks chosen based on your taste. Swipe right if something interests you, left to pass. The more you rate, track and interact with games, the sharper your picks become. You can filter by platform, genre or year before you start swiping. Games you've already played or added to your library won't appear.

Is there a web version?

Not yet. Questly is mobile first and the full experience lives on iOS and Android. A web app is on our roadmap for the future.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Settings → Storage & Data → Danger Zone. Your profile and personal data are removed within 30 days. If you'd prefer to do this by email, write to support@questly.games from the email address on the account.

How do you decide what to recommend?

Recommendations are based on the games you've swiped on, the scores you've given, and the lists you've built. We do not buy or sell behaviour data with third parties, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

I found a game with the wrong details, how do I report it?

Tap the report button on the game page and choose "Incorrect info," or email support@questly.games with the game name and the field that's off. We pull from public databases and corrections roll out quickly.

How does the Steam import work?

In Library, tap the sync button and select Import from Steam, then paste your Steam profile URL or 17-digit Steam ID. Questly calls Valve's public Web API and pulls the same list of games, achievements and playtime that's already visible on your public Steam profile. We never see your Steam password. If your profile is private, make it public for the duration of the import. You can re-run the import any time to pick up new titles and updated playtime.

How does the Xbox import work?

In Library, tap the sync button and select Import from Xbox, then sign in with your Microsoft account. Questly pulls your game library, achievements and playtime directly from your Xbox profile. We never store your Microsoft credentials. You can re-run the import any time to pick up new titles and updated achievement progress.

Can I bring in games I own outside Steam / Xbox?

Yes. You can add games manually or import from a CSV using the same import tool in the Library tab. Questly matches each row against our game catalogue, dedupes editions and bundles, and creates journal entries you can edit afterwards.

Can I use Questly without importing anything?

Absolutely. Importing your Steam or Xbox library is optional. You can build your collection manually by searching for games and marking them as owned, played or in your backlog. Most people start by adding a handful of games they've recently played and go from there. Questly gets smarter the more you add, but there's no setup required to get started.

How do I export everything I've added?

Library → Sync → Export produces a single download containing your library, journal, scores, reviews and lists. We support this whether you're staying or leaving, your taste should always be portable.

How does tracking replays work?

Every game in your journal can hold multiple replays. From your Library tab, press and hold any game and tap "Notes & Sessions" to log a fresh playthrough with its own start date, finish date, hours, platform, storefront/service, and notes without overwriting the original. The replay shows up on your profile next to the first time you played it, and counts towards your overall hours for that game.

Can I track which platforms I own a game on?

Yes. On any game's page, tap "Mark as owned" to record where you own it. Steam, Xbox, PSN, Switch, Game Pass, PS Plus, physical or subscription. A single game can be owned on several platforms at once.
