Frequently asked questions
When is Questly launching?
We're in the final stretch of internal testing. Drop your email on the homepage and we'll send one note the day Questly hits the App Store and Play Store.
Which platforms is Questly available on?
Questly is launching on iOS and Android. A read-only web view of public profiles and lists will follow after launch. The full app experience lives on mobile.
Is Questly free?
Yes - Questly is free to download and use. Optional Questly Pro adds premium features like themes, extra slots, and visibility tools. There are no ads.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Your profile and personal data are removed within 30 days. If you'd prefer to do this by email, write to support@questly.games from the email address on the account.
How do you decide what to recommend?
Recommendations are based on the games you've swiped on, the scores you've given, and the lists you've built. We do not buy or sell behaviour data with third parties, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
I found a game with the wrong details, how do I report it?
Tap the three-dot menu on the game page and choose "Report incorrect data," or email support@questly.games with the game name and the field that's off. We pull from public databases and corrections roll out quickly.
How does the Steam import work?
In Settings → Import from Steam, paste your Steam profile URL or 17-digit Steam ID. Questly calls Valve's public Web API and pulls the same list of games and playtime that's already visible on your public Steam profile. We never see your Steam password. If your profile is private, make it public for the duration of the import - you can flip it back as soon as it's done. You can re-run the import any time to pick up new titles and updated playtime.
Can I bring in games I own outside Steam?
Yes. Use Settings → Import → CSV import to upload a spreadsheet of titles you own (with optional platform, playtime, and status columns). Questly matches each row against our game catalogue, dedupes editions and bundles, and creates journal entries you can edit afterwards. There's a downloadable template in the import screen.
How do I export everything I've added?
Settings → Storage & Data → "Export to CSV" produces a single download containing your library, journal, scores, reviews, and lists. The file opens straight into Numbers, Excel, Sheets, or any other tool. We support this whether you're staying or leaving, your taste should always be portable.
How does tracking replays work?
Every game in your journal can hold multiple replays. From the journal entry, tap "Add replay" to log a fresh playthrough with its own start date, finish date, hours, platform, storefront/service, and notes without overwriting the original. The replay shows up on your profile next to the first time you played it, and counts towards your overall hours for that game.
Can I track which platforms I own a game on?
Yes. On any game's page, tap "Mark as owned" to record where you own it. Steam, Xbox, PSN, Switch, Game Pass, PS Plus, physical, subscription, or "unspecified" if you'll fill the rest in later. A single game can be owned on several platforms at once.
